Foto's Finally Framed

Yesterday I bought matts for mounting my photos. I spent all evening matching and mounting. The final result was pretty good if I do say so myself.
It's amazing how a piece of coloured cardboard can make a plain photo into something quite frameable.

Now I just have to get up enough nerve to tout them to a couple of shops or galleries on the tourist trail.

Let me know what you think.

New Additions to my shop

This is my latest effort. I've taken some of my flower photos and played with them in Photoshop. I gave them a watercolour effect then printed them on canvas type paper. They look like little paintings in the cards.

I think they are pretty. I'm going to pick up some more canvas paper so I can do some more. I think I might just give some for Christmas.

I think I'll do some Christmas shopping on Etsy this year.

I love having pretty things on my wrists. The way they catch your eye as you move your hands during daily life, brings a spark of colour.
Out of the corner of your eye you catch it when you point to something.

It crosses your eyes in a quick blur of colour when you brush your hair from your eyes.

It jangles and flashes when you shake someones hand.

It amuses the baby for minutes at a time when nothing else can.

This is one of my favourite photographs. It was taken after a wild storm. The clouds moved through and the sun appeared on the horizon as a brilliant gold ball. When I used my telephoto lens I was able to catch the sun as if suspended from the branch by raindrops.

I've always wanted a necklace made of this photo, with a large brass disc suspended by crystals to a wire, with the leaves in wire and metal.

One day I will have it made.

It reminds me of the sunshine after the storms in life. The storm might be wild and raging, but afterwards there is beauty and a fresh start.

My very first blog in my very new home.
